Mise en valeur par Daniel Boone pour le compte de la Transylvania Company, cette cluse permit la colonisation du Kentucky et du Tennessee.
Launched in early 2010, 'America the Beautiful' is a program of 56 commemorative quarter dollar coins depicting the national parks and other national sites of the United States of America. Cumberland Gap National Historical Park is located in the state of Kentucky. The Cumberland Gap is a mountain pass at an elevation of 488 m and is a natural passage through the center of the Appalachian Mountains. Developed by Daniel Boone for the Transylvania Company, this pass enabled the settlement of Kentucky and Tennessee.
