Triens complet et de frappe vigoureuse, sur un flan large. Droit et revers centrés avec une belle épigraphie bien venue à la frappe. Une légère patine hétérogène recouvre l'ensemble de la monnaie

Commento

Dans le Corpus Nummorum Visigothorum, quatre types sont distingués sous l'atelier de Tolède pour Svinthila ; la légende du revers ne varie pas, mais le nom du roi varie avec l'inversion des lettres IH et I ou par l'oubli du X de REX qui est aussi remplacé par une croisette. Cet exemplaire correspond au premier type, le plus classique et celui qui est illustré. L’exemplaire du MEC a la particularité d'avoir l'O plein.
In the Corpus Nummorum Visigothorum, four types are distinguished under the Toledo mint for Svinthila; the legend on the reverse does not vary, but the name of the king varies with the inversion of the letters IH and I or by the omission of the X of REX which is also replaced by a cross.
