Descrittivo rovescio : Cheval au pas, bridé (?) à droite ; au-dessus de la croupe, une petite tête coupée.

Commento

Une monnaie de ce type, en bien moins bel état, a été vendue dans MONNAIES XXIV, n° 950. Elle était considérée à tort comme inédite ; deux exemplaires figurent dans le livre de D. Nash 1978, n° 102 et 103 (=BN. 3835 et 3834 pesant respectivement 0,79 et 0,57 gramme). Ces monnaies sont classées dans le " West Berry Silver Horseman Group". La petite tête coupée rappelle la drachme LT. 4560 dont ces oboles pourraient être des divisionnaires.
Ce petit monnayage d'argent est certainement à mettre en relation avec les divisions d'argent attribuées aux Arvernes (cf. MONNAIES XXVI, n° 614-615).
A coin of this type, in much less good condition, was sold in MONNAIES XXIV, n° 950. It was wrongly considered unpublished; two examples appear in the book by D. Nash 1978, n° 102 and 103 (=BN. 3835 and 3834 weighing 0.79 and 0.57 grams respectively). These coins are classified in the \\\"West Berry Silver Horseman Group\\\". The small severed head is reminiscent of the LT drachma. 4560 of which these obols could be divisional. This small silver coinage is certainly to be related to the silver divisions attributed to the Arverni (cf. COINS XXVI, n° 614-615)
