Diritto

Titolatura diritto : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Descrittivo diritto : Tête de Dionysos à droite, portant une couronne de feuilles de vigne et de lierre, les cheveux longs.

Rovescio

Descrittivo rovescio : Hercule nu, la léonté flottant sur l'épaule, debout à gauche, tenant de la main droite la massue ; monogramme dans le champ à gauche.
Legenda rovescio : HERAKLEOUS // SWTHROUS // QASIWN.

Commento

Imitation. Ce type se rencontre dans la trouvaille de Crimée. Il appartient à la classe 1, imitation très proche des prototypes thasiens.

(II - I secolo a.C.)

Dopo il 357 a.C., Taso cadde sotto il dominio macedone. Riacquistò parte della sua indipendenza con la morte di Lisimaco nel 281 aC Dopo la sconfitta di Cinoscefali nel 197 aC, Taso divenne nuovamente autonoma. Dal 148 o 146 a.C., il Senato romano autorizzò Thasos e Maronea a coniare tetradrammi larghi e vergini che furono coniati in grandissima quantità e imitati nei Balcani fino alla fine del I secolo a.C..
