Boîte de production française sans étiquette probablement du XIXe siècle.
Les poids, en forme de tronc de pyramide à bouton, sont d’origine avec : un poids de 4 LOYDOR (quadruple louis d’or) (26,65g), un poids de 2 LOYDOR (double louis d’or) (13,33g) contremarqué d’un G, un poids de 1 LOYDO. (louis d’or) (6,66g), un poids de 1/2 LOY (demi-louis d’or) (3,33g) ainsi qu’un poids d’un 1/2 V (1,76g), un poids d’un 1 V (3,46g), un poids de 1 VNG (3,50g) et un poids de 2 VNG (6,99g).
Tous les poids sont identifiés par le type gravé.
Sous le petit couvercle, vous retrouverez 5 fines lamelles poinçonnés d’annelets pointés, soit des lamelles pour 1, 4, 5, 6 grains. La cinquième lamelle est gravée du chiffre 2.
La boîte, en bois clair, gravée sur le haut de l’inscription 8 CM, est fermée par une attache métallique. Le fléau de la balance est à col de cygne et présente toujours sa houpette de préhension d’origine au bout de l’étrier. Une des deux coupelles est ronde tandis que l’autre est triangulaire. La coupelle triangulaire est poinçonné de CM 8.
Dimensions de la boîte : 57*120 mm. Hauteur : 22 mm.
French production box without label, probably from the 19th century. The weights, in the shape of a truncated pyramid with a knob, are original with: a weight of 4 LOYDOR (quadruple louis d'or) (26.65g), a weight of 2 LOYDOR (double louis d'or) (13.33g) countermarked with a G, a weight of 1 LOYDO. (louis d'or) (6.66g), a weight of 1/2 LOY (half-louis d'or) (3.33g) as well as a weight of 1/2 V (1.76g), a weight of 1 V (3.46g), a weight of 1 VNG (3.50g) and a weight of 2 VNG (6.99g). All weights are identified by the engraved type. Under the small lid, you will find 5 thin strips punched with pointed rings, or strips for 1, 4, 5, 6 grains. The fifth strip is engraved with the number 2. The box, made of light wood, engraved on the top with the inscription 8 CM, is closed with a metal fastener. The balance beam has a swan neck and still has its original gripping tuft at the end of the stirrup. One of the two cups is round while the other is triangular.
