ARDENNES - FABRIQUE DE JETONS DE SEDAN
(1614-1642)
Una fabbrica di banali gettoni esiste a Sedan dagli anni 1613-1614. Fu affidato a Daniel Goffin, un incisore protestante con sede a Givonne vicino a Sedan. I gettoni prodotti sono imitazioni di gettoni reali e sono realizzati utilizzando strumenti meccanici di cui è dotato il Principato di Sedan. Una stella a cinque punte si trova come diverso su molti di questi gettoni. Questa bottega si chiuse probabilmente con l'abbandono del principato alla Francia nel 1642. Si noti uno studio di Jules Rouyer su una fabbrica di gettoni di aspetto francese a Sedan all'epoca di Luigi XIII, Revue numismatique, 1887.
