D'après J.Rouyer, RBN. 1890-1892, ce jeton se rapporte pour le revers aux premiers succès remportés sous le règne de Louis XIV comme la victoire de Rocroi le 19 mai 1643 sur les Espagnols par le duc d'Enghien, dit le Grand Condé. Le droit évoquerait les soins qu'apporte la Régente, Anne d'Autriche, la mère du jeune roi, à son éducation.
According to J. Rouyer, RBN. 1890-1892, the reverse of this token refers to the first successes won under the reign of Louis XIV, such as the victory of Rocroi on May 19, 1643, over the Spanish by the Duke of Enghien, known as the Grand Condé. The obverse would evoke the care taken by the Regent, Anne of Austria, the mother of the young king, for his education.
