Denier frappé sur un flan large, avec la tête complète. Type de revers complet, avec les légendes dégénérées mais entièrement visibles. Bel exemplaire avec une patine grise, un peu granuleuse, homogène au droit et légèrement tachée au revers

Commento

Ce type avec l’oiseau posé sur une croix, parfois confondu avec des monnaies continentales, est assez commun ; il existe un grand nombre de variantes. Cet exemplaire avec une croix entre deux annelets et avec un troisième annelet devant l’oiseau correspond exactement au B380 (page 380 d’Abramson) la légende n’est pourtant pas la même bien qu’elle commence aussi par trois petits annelets. Le droit de notre exemplaire est d’un très beau style, très classique.
This type with the bird perched on a cross, sometimes confused with continental coins, is quite common; there are a large number of variants. This example with a cross between two annulets and with a third annulet in front of the bird corresponds exactly to B380 (page 380 of Abramson) the legend is however not the same although it also begins with three small annulets. The obverse of our example is in a very beautiful style, very classical
